Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm: Patients at Peril
Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is diagnosed in only one third of patients
prior to rupture; ruptured AAAs account for 15,000 deaths in the United States
each year.

These study reveals that infrarenal AAAs can be safely and successfully treated
in an endovascular suite with the AneuRx stent-graft. Further follow-up is
needed to determine the long-term efficacy of endoluminal treatment to prevent
rupture and death due to AAAs.
